Established in 2020 just outside Belfast, Northern Ireland, Ergo & Wellbeing Ltd was founded by Julie Rainey following her successful role as the site Human Factors Ergonomist for Aston Martin in South Wales. With her Masters-level qualifications in Human Factors Engineering and Ergonomics (also known as Engineering Psychology), Julie recognised an opportunity to address a critical market need.
Noting the significant shortage of qualified Ergonomics and Human Factors professionals across the UK and Ireland, Julie launched her consultancy to provide specialised expertise for projects of all scopes and durations. This "ergo for hire" approach allows her to tackle diverse ergonomic challenges while sharing valuable knowledge precisely where it's needed most.
Since our inception, Ergo and Wellbeing Ltd has provided expert Ergonomics & Human Factors (EHF) services across multiple sectors including aerospace, health & safety, pharmaceuticals, medical device manufacturing, sports media, packaging manufacturing, and other ergonomics consultancies. Our consultant brings specialist experience in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering environments with expertise in R&D, Production Ergonomics, and Office Ergonomics (both onsite and work-from-home).
We excel in conducting comprehensive ergonomic risk assessments, DSE evaluations, ergonomic observations, reviews, report writing for Occupational Health and HR, design improvements, practical recommendations, and developing and delivering ergonomic awareness and manual handling training programs.
